Krista Grava (Owner)
Krista is SWEAT Indoor Cycling Studio’s owner and manager. As a competitive cheerleader most of her life, Krista developed a love for team oriented workouts. Upon graduating from the University of New Hampshire, Krista found her love for spin classes and hasn’t stopped spinning since. Growing up on the North shore, she always knew that is where she wanted to open her own business. Her dream is finally becoming a reality with the opening of SWEAT this summer. Krista is certified through Mad Dogg Athletics and is excited to combine her love for team workouts and spinning. She is looking forward to sweating it out with you on the bike!
Growing up in Lynnfield and graduating from Lynnfield High, Ashley was always an active member of the cheerleading, dancing and softball teams. After dedicating many years to working out in a gym, her passion for team-oriented goal achieving inevitably sparked an interest in spinning. The fear of the unknown and nerves aside, she went ahead with full confidence and signed up for her first spinning class. The rush, excitement and loud music were enough to hook her once her first ride was a success! Her commitment to achieve her personal fitness goals through spinning sparked an interest in becoming an instructor, which is something she knew she was destined to be. Ashley has once again met another goal with another accomplishment and is now Mad Dogg certified, and can't wait for you to come along and enjoy the ride with her!
Kimberly knew from her very first ride that there was something special about spinning and the encouraging people behind it. Growing up, Kimberly always found a strong support within fitness, whether it was in sports or at the gym. Kimberly loves exciting, energy-packed beats that you can dance to. Janaelle Humberd calls herself a “cycling addict”. She has been a certified spinning instructor with Mad Dog Athletics since 2009, has a true passion for health and fitness and she brings this passion to her classes. With a degree in Nutrition from UNH, she has been a Registered Dietitian for 14+ years with a specialty in weight loss, health and wellness. After becoming an ACE certified Health Coach in 2012, she is the ultimate motivator to help you meet your health and fitness goals. She uses her love for music and passion for exercise to create the ultimate “Sweat” session. Janaelle’s classes are designed to motivate and push you out your comfort zone, while enjoying every minute of your ride. She will leave you feeling energetic, refreshed and coming back for more!
Eric's love for fitness and passion for music are what drives his cycling classes. He loves the challenge of seeing how much you can get out of your body. He believes exercise is not only important for your physical health, but also your overall wellness. In one of Eric's classes, you can expect to hear anything from disco to rock and roll, and of course some new and old classic hits! Come rock it out with Eric!
Jodi has been motivating people in the fitness industry since 1996! Beginning with kickboxing with heavy bags and boot camp, she teaches a multitude of formats. Cycling is a favorite! Continuously riding to the beat of the music, her classes are formatted as high intensity interval training or HIIT. This allows your heart rate to vary, efficiently burning more calories! The ability to add weights and resistance bands to her classes will allow her more flexibility to achieve that! Jodi holds certifications in AFAA, MADDOGG SPINNING, Pilates, Body Infusion, TRX, Drums Alive, CPR/AED and is also a Certified Personal Trainer. In addition to Fitness, Jodi is a Real Estate agent at her family business, Fitzgerald & Associates, in North Reading. She lives in Reading with her husband Matt and their 4 children.
Growing up in the Southwest, Aly was constantly involved in athletics, and was very active in the dance and gymnastics community. After college she developed a love of group exercise, particularly spinning. She was hooked on the music and the choreography that pushed her out of her comfort zone. She became Mad Dogg certified to bring her intensity, energy and motivation to other riders. As a former teacher, Aly now combines her passion for teaching with her love of music and fitness. Aly is excited to power you through your workout with each pedal stroke- her enthusiasm is contagious!
